Farewell Windows XP

Almost 12 years after its release in October 2001 Microsoft has announced that 8th April 2014 will be the end of extended support for Windows XP.
Don’t worried if you are still using Windows XP as it won’t suddenly stop working. What this means is that Microsoft will no longer offer updates and security fixes which could potentially leave your computer open to attacks should a security flaw be found.
If you’re concerned about your computers security and you’re still using Windows XP, it’s probably time to start thinking about upgrading your computer before the deadline next year. There are also several other Microsoft product on the chopping block for example Microsoft Office 2003, Exchange Server 2003, Project Server 2003, Virtual PC 2004, and Content Management Server 2002.
