New Generic Top-Level Domains

gTLDA Top-Level Domains (TLD) is the right-most part in a domain name which currently you will be familiar with it being something like .co.uk or .com currently. TLDs with three or more characters are referred to as “generic” TLDs, or “gTLDs”.

The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) Will soon be releasing over 700 new gTLS’s in October/November 2013.

These new gTLD’s are more descriptive about what your business do for example .shop . dentist and .engineering just to name a few. This will make finding the right domain name for your business easier and help potential customers know what you do before they ever visit you site.
