What is new in windows 8.1
To list just a few things that is new in windows 8.1. the Start button is back, Performance system improved, Better SkyDrive integration and More ways to personalise your PC.
How do I install windows 8.1
To install windows 8.1 you will need to have windows 8 already installed. All you need to do to install windows 8.1 is go to the Windows Store and the windows 8.1 update should be the first tile you see. It should install as any other app does although if you have a slow internet connection it may take a little while.
Microsoft has done a better job of making Windows scale from an 8-inch tablet all the way up to the 27-inch desktop PC. With changes to the Metro Start screen and new ways of laying out multiple apps side by side on screen.
You are now also able to skip the Metro Start menu entirely, being able to set Windows 8.1 to boot directly into the desktop although you’ll still use the Metro Start menu to launch any programs.
Internet explorer 11 is probably the best standards-compliant browser and fastest that Microsoft has made this is thanks to the fully hardware accelerated rendering engine.
Windows 8.1 is not a whole reworking of Windows or a return to the desktop only approach like Windows 7. If you want to use touch, or you already like Windows 8, Windows 8.1 is worth the upgrade for the many improvements.
